Enabling Protected Applications Blocked Due to Time Tampering

Blocked protected applications are automatically re-enabled when the time on the system clock is no longer earlier than the V-Clock time. Under certain circumstances, you may want to re-enable blocked applications by changing the V-Clock time. This can be accomplished as follows:

• For C2V files: By receiving a C2V file for the protection key from the customer and then returning a V2C file that provides an update to the V-Clock time.
  • In the Check In C2V pop-up, click Choose Files. The file Open dialog box appears.
  • Browse for the folder where the C2V file is located. Select the C2V files and click Open.
  • Select a C2V and click Check In.
  • Click Clear Time Tamper. The Clear Time Tamper pop-up appears. In this pop-up you can set a new time for the V2C to be generated.
    • Server Time: The server time will be set on the key.
    • Date and Time: You can specify the date and time.
  • Click OK. The V2C file will be generated.
• For Sentinel HL keys: By updating the V-Clock time in the Sentinel HL key.
  • Open the Check In Key pop-up.
  • Connect the Sentinel HL keys. The C2V data on all the connected Sentinel HL keys is processed and their identification information is displayed, including the Key ID, Key Type, and Batch Code.
  • Select a key and click Check In.
  • Click Clear Time Tamper. The Clear Time Tamper pop-up appears. In this pop-up you can set a new time for the V2C to be generated.
    • Server Time: The server time will be set on the key.
    • Date and Time: You can specify the date and time.
  • Click OK.
