Defining a Unlocked Product

This section is relevant only for LDK Products/Entitlements.

An Unlocked Product is built from a Base Product, and can be used as the following:

In a Unlocked Product you can define:

When you define a Unlocked Product, the Features from the Base Product are automatically incorporated in the Unlocked Product. You can modify the license duration for each Feature. You can also add or remove Features. In addition, you can define memory segments and their data (see Defining Memory Data for details).

To define a Unlocked Product:

  1. In the Name field type a name for the Unlocked Product (maximum length 50 characters). The name must be unique in the selected Base Product.
  2. (Optional) To add a description to the Product, click the Add Description link. The Description field appears. In this field, you can enter text to provide additional information about the Product (maximum length 510 characters).
  3. If you need to change the locking type, you must first remove all the Features from the Product Features list. Then, in the Locking Type drop-down list, select the protection level for the Product:

    1. SL User modeThe Product can be supplied with stand-alone Sentinel SL keys only.
    2. SL Admin mode—The Product can be supplied with network Sentinel SL keys only.
  4. Enter Ref ID 1 and Ref ID 2 if required (maximum 250 characters). You can enter information that identifies the Product in a different system, for example, a Product code in your company's ERP system.
  5. Add or remove Features as required:
    1. Click Add Features. The Add Features to Product pop-up appears.
    2. Select the Features to add. Click Add Features to Product. The associated Features are displayed in the main screen.
    3. To remove a Feature from the Product, click Remove in the same row. To remove multiple Features, select the check boxes and click Remove.
  6. To specify the license terms for an individual Feature, click the Configure link corresponding to the Feature. For multiple Features that require the same licensing details, you can specify the licensing terms at one time. Select check boxes for multiple Features, and click the Configure button at the top right corner of the pane.

    In the Configure License Terms pop-up that appears, you can define the following terms for Unlocked Products:
