Editing User Details

The User Details page enables you to change the properties of an existing user. On this page, you can edit the information stored in all the fields except User ID. When you access this page, the user role that was last selected will be shown by default. This page is available only for users who are authorized to perform administrative functions.

You can edit the user role provided the following conditions are false:

• The master key is unplugged and multiple batch codes are present in the EMS database.
• The master key is plugged and either channel partner module has expired or is not present in the master key.

  On this page, you can make changes to the following fields:

  1. Password— To change the password for the user:
     1. Click Change Password.
     2. In the Password field, enter a new password for the user.
     3. In the Confirm Password field, enter the new password again to confirm.
     4. The password change will be effective once you click Save.
  2. E-mail— Change the email address for the user.
  3. Expires On— To specify an expiry date:
     1. Clear the Expires On check box.
     2. Click inside the text box to select an expiry date from the calendar widget.
  4. Channel Partner— Select or clear the check box to associate a different channel partner or create an ISV user respectively.
  5. Login Allowed— Select or clear the check box to enable/disable user login respectively.
  6. Language— Select an option from the drop-down list to change the default display language.
  7. Ref ID 1 and Ref ID 2— Edit the reference IDs for the user. You can enter information that identifies the user in a different system; for example, a user ID in your company's ERP system.

  

  8. Associated Roles— (EMS users only). Select the check box(es) to edit roles assigned to the user. At least one role must be selected.

  

  9. Associated Batch Codes— (EMS users only). Select the check box(es) for the applicable batch codes. At least one batch code must be selected.
